Bern Museum Quarter offers a wide range of attractions for people of all ages. Families benefit from special offers for children and a variety of reductions.

ALPS Swiss Alpine Museum

In the ALPS, children can discover hidden pictures and stories on a secret trail, while adults explore the exhibition. Also ideal for young people are the Video Box and a workshop offering creative hands-on activities for all the family. Admission to the ALPS is free for children up to the age of 12. Family tickets are also available.

Bern Historical Museum

A family workshop offering craft activities and experiments is held every Sunday at the Bern Historical Museum. Discovery trails and a paper chase (for youngsters aged 12 or more) provide new perspectives on the exhibitions. Young people aged 6 to 13 can celebrate their birthday at the museum. Admission to the exhibitions is free up to the age of 5. Halfprice tickets are available for young people aged 6 to 16. Family tickets are also available.

Museum of Communication

At the Museum of Communication, children (aged 4 to 8) are guided through the world of communication by a squirrel called Ratatösk. Youngsters (up to 4th grade) can also celebrate their birthday at the museum. With a family ticket, up to six people (no more than two adults) can visit the museum for a year.

Natural Histroy Museum of Bern

The Natural History Museum of Bern offers story-telling and workshops for children and families. Equipped with a themed suitcase, youngsters can explore the Geo Lab or Pica’s nest on their own. The “Gwunder-Mobil” (limited opening hours) invites young visitors to discover native animal species. Admission to the museum is free up to the age of 16.
