The Museum Garden
A place for rest and recreation
The Museum Garden, complete with tables and chairs, is a place to linger. Relax in a quiet corner of the garden, browse through the bookcase, or watch the children enjoying themselves in the play area. Around the Museum Garden you’ll find a diverse selection of cafés and restaurants run by the institutions of Bern Museum Quarter.
Open-air events
Especially during the warmer months, the Museum Garden is buzzing with activity. It hosts a wide variety of events – from concerts and outdoor exhibitions to the annual summer festival. Details of all current events can be found in the calendar.
The Association Kitchen
From June to August, everyone is welcome to use the Association Kitchen – complete with tables, chairs and a barbecue area. Additional kitchen utensils (pots and cutlery) are available free of charge, if booked in advance. The idea for the Association Kitchen arose as part of a participatory art project run by Seraina Dür and five Bern associations, in collaboration with the Museum Quarter Bern and the City of Bern Commission for Art in Public Spaces.
