We love stories. They tell us about cultural diversity, about different worlds from the past and present, and about our possible futures. Visitors to our museum immerse themselves in locally and globally important stories that move their head, heart and hands.

The Bern History Museum is one of the most important museums of cultural history in Switzerland. It is a growing storehouse of knowledge and experience of the culture and history of Bern and the world. The collections of history, archaeology and ethnography comprise half a million objects. They offer insights into living environments from different historical periods and cultural contexts. The integrated Einstein Museum places the life and work of the physicist in the context of world history.
