Steinhalle
Here, culinary creativity meets a historical atmosphere. Whether it's a high-quality lunch, a laid-back Sunday brunch, or just a quick coffee in between: the Steinhalle delights you with seasonal dishes inspired by Chef Markus Arnold’s travels, creating moments of indulgence that linger in your memory.
Located in the west wing of the Bern Historical Museum, the Steinhalle is the city’s most highly acclaimed restaurant, boasting 17 Gault Millau points and a Michelin star.
During the day, Chef Markus Arnold and his team offer a relaxed "Easy Lunch": fresh ramen soups, bowls, and burgers provide a delicious and satisfying meal – perfect for museum visitors looking for a tasty break between exhibitions.
On Sundays, the lunch menu is complemented by a brunch that will please both breakfast lovers and fans of the "Easy Lunch".
In the evening, the Steinhalle reveals a different side: with "Casual Dining," Markus Arnold takes his guests on a culinary journey. Inspired by his travels around the world, he reinterprets international flavors in his own unique way – bringing the tastes of the world right into the heart of Bern’s dining scene.
The Restaurant Steinhalle is accessible without a museum ticket.
